South Suburban Dulcimer and Folk Music Society
The South Suburban Dulcimer and Folk Music Society is a group of music lovers who play folk and traditional music on folk instruments. Members play everything from the Autoharp to the Zither, but they mostly play Mountain and Hammered Dulcimers. At any given performance, you may hear banjo, guitar, fiddle, spoons, drum, penny whistle or recorder, or any number of other simple folk instruments.
SSDFMS is a friendly and welcoming group that meets regularly to share songs and new musical skills. They are also important supporters of our festival - many of their members are our volunteers and serve in festival leadership positions.
